Greensboro, known for its lush landscapes and vibrant culture, has yet another gem to boast about: Van Loi 2, a culinary haven that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the soul. This isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience, a journey through the heart of Asian cuisine. Our adventure at Van Loi 2 began with a toast of peach sake and Thai tea. The sake, with its delicate peach undertones, was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing sweetness with the robust essence of traditional sake. The Thai tea, a bold contrast, was a creamy and dreamy concoction that immediately transported us to the bustling streets of Bangkok. Next came the appetizers: shrimp and veggie rice rolls, each a masterpiece wrapped in delicate rice paper. The shrimp rice rolls were a celebration of the ocean's bounty, fresh and succulent, while the veggie rolls were a vibrant mosaic of greens, both served with a peanut sauce that was nothing short of a revelation. It was the kind of sauce that could make you forget there's anything else on the table. The main course was a tale of two pho bowls: the seafood pho and the chicken pho. The seafood pho was a treasure trove of the sea's finest, each spoonful a discovery of different textures and flavors. The chicken pho, on the other hand, was a comforting embrace, with tender chicken slices swimming in a broth so aromatic and flavorful, it felt like a hug from the inside. What made these bowls stand out was their freshness. The veggies were crisp, the herbs fragrant, and the addition of chili oil and hoisin sauce brought an intricate layer of flavors that danced on the palate. But what truly sets Van Loi 2 apart is the service. In a world where dining often becomes a transactional experience, Van Loi 2 reminds us of the joy of human connection. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like family, turning a simple meal into a memorable experience. In conclusion, Van Loi 2 isn't just about the food, though that in itself is a reason enough to visit. It's about the experience, the atmosphere, and the feeling of being welcomed with open arms

Here is a very good Asian restaurant. They provide a variety of Vietnamese and Chinese foods. We normally take out the roast duck, roast pork, beef stripe, and braised pig ear. In addition, delicious beef noodle soup, seafood rice noodle soup, and pork & shrimp vermicelli are highly recommended.

This place has a very beautiful atmosphere, when you walk in your blown away by the amazing looks and style to this place. I was assisted to my seat very quickly and given menus. I was able to take my sweet time looking at the menu as the waiter was very nice and patient with us taking our time to look through all the menu options, the prices are reasonable and affordable. The food is delicious and the presentation was very beautifully done. I ordered the duck and pork, it was fresh and was grilled with open flame to perfection. The pork had nice crispy fat chunks in it that explodes in your mouth with so much flavor. The duck is just out of this world! It was worth every penny to try out. The Owner is a very beautiful woman who is charming. She gave us spring rolls to try out and they were made with fresh ingredients and tasted good as a spring roll should. I am very pleased with this place and will be coming back in the future.

Another week on the road, this week I decide to get some pho. I ordered the Rare Beef & Flank. The broth is superb. I deducted one star because one of the pieces of flank was so tough and fatty (and huge), that I could not manage to chew it up enough to get down. Other than that one thing, the pho was excellent. I would definitely give them a second try.

Best pho in town. Always stop by when passing through. I usually get pho dac biet. They give the best mixture between pho noodles and meat. The broth is always excellent. Their roast duck and pork and BBQ pork have the best flavors in NC. Never had a bad food experience there. The server was great.

This is by far the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant I've been to. You can tell it's really good when the majority of customers are Asian people. It'a like a hidden gem only local Asian born know. The BBQ pork was surreal. You can't find this kind of Asian BBQ meat in Greensboro and they did it sooooo dang good it reminded me of Thailand, my birthplace. My husband ordered catfish in clay pot. He loves catfish and he said it's top notch like the chefs know what they're doing. One downside was it was too salty but still tasted amazing. Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was the best part. It's like Espresso mixed with condensed milk. It'd give you a different taste from normal coffee with milk in regular coffee shops. Strong coffee though so if you're not used to stronger coffee please be careful. Portion of food was big we couldn't even finish them. Rice menu could be shared for 2 persons (if you're not familiar with American portion). We will be back for sure to try other menus. I feel like their roasted duck will be like eating it in Asia. Can't recommend enough!!!!

[only eaten here during lunchtime] One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in all of North Carolina! The food is both delicious & plentiful. It’s normally always busy with customers here The taste/quality of the BBQ duck can be inconsistent though, depending on the time you purchase it. Sometimes they run out of it before 6PM. Why is everyone complaining about customer service & its high menu prices? Anyone that has been to multiple Vietnamese restaurants should know that customer service is not a common staple with them: you order your food+drinks, get your food (best time to ask for anything additional), & finally, you go up to the counter to pay. This location is also clearly understaffed, like many other businesses around the world. The menu prices are the same with any other non-Chinatown restaurant since the start of the pandemic. Landlords continue to increase rent costs for businesses like these & the only way to stay afloat is increasing the prices.
